I think it’s safe to say that a lot of us struggle with anxiety. Let’s face it – in recent years, how could you not? The news cycle is basically one large panic attack.

While researching for my article on the best crystals for manifestation, I kept running into mentions of crystals being used for other holistic purposes, such as anxiety. Well. As an anxious girl myself, my ears totally perked up.
After some research, I just had to share the internet’s top picks on the best crystals for anxiety with you all – and show you how to DIY a practical and cute way to display them in your home.

We’ll kick off with something fun: an easy DIY designed to relieve stress and display a few optimal healing crystals with the purpose of repelling anxiety! Plus, we’re making a mini garden – which means plants. And we all know that plants make the soul happy.
(In fact, studies have shown that people who spend time gardening have less stress in their lives!)

Fortunately, our mini garden is super easy to make . . . in fact, those of you who follow me on social media may have even spotted it already.
What you need:
- Geometric terrarium (I have linked the one I used)
- Amethsyt stones
- Jade chips
- A small plastic tub (the kind takeaway sauce comes in is perfect)
- Amazon Frogbit plants
- Soil
- Stones
- Howlite
- Live moss
- Ivy

5 Best Healing Crystals For Anxiety
Without further ado, let’s take a look at the best stress-relieving stones and their properties!
Under each, I’ve listed two cute items from Etsy featuring the stone. So, if you wanted to pick an item up, you’ll be supporting a small business! (And also me, as I’m an Etsy affiliate. So thanks for that!)
1. White Howlite
Anytime you’re experiencing anxiety or high stress, white howlite is a great stone to use. It can help reduce your levels of stress and anger and dispel anger that is directed towards you from others. Howlite works by absorbing negative energy and filling the void with calming properties that help you feel at peace.

Every article I read was praising howlite as being one of the best crystals for anxiety. It’s often referred to as the calming stone and is said to promote emotional healing. Hence, in my little terrarium, a big rough-cut of howlite is the main feature!
Common words used to describe white howlite for anxiety: calming, patience, soothing, stress reliever and anger relief.
2. Amethyst
Ask any crystal healer for a stone they’d recommend for anxiety and amethyst is likely to be at the top of their list. This soothing purple stone is widely used for insomnia and nightmares, and can help settle your thoughts to get a good night’s sleep.

Okay, let me tell you right now: amethyst understood the assignment. Not only is this crystal drop dead gorgeous – but it’s also insanely cheap! You can buy all kinds of gorgeous pieces, whether as jewellery or home decor, for under $20. Which is a price point I can totally get behind.
Plus, amethsyt pops up in every single one of these posts that I write. It’s a total power house that has such a wide range of uses.
Common words used to describe amethyst for anxiety: balancing, calm, emotional regulation and cleansing.
3. Blue Lace Agate
Blue Lace Agate is commonly known as one of the best stones for anxiety relief, as it’s an incredibly soothing and nurturing stone that brings you calmness and peace of mind.
Source: Anxiety Gone
Blue lace agate is another stunning stone. (Sorry, howlite, I feel like you’re getting left out here…) Just look at those towers – so gorgeous!
Apparently, this stone is good for healing anxious feelings that stem from rejection and past experiences – so it’s perfect for people suffering with social anxiety.
Common words used to describe blue lace agate for anxiety: calming, stress relief, supportive, soothing and rest.
4. Celestite
Celestite carries a beautiful calming energy that promotes mental clarity and emotional stability, making it an excellent stone to protect against anxiety and depression

Apparently, blue crystals tend to have a calming effect – oh, and they’re pretty darn cute! Celestite isn’t actually a stone I’d heard of before researching this post, but it’s a very affordable option to add to your collection.
Common words used to describe celestite for anxiety: relief, stability, calming, inner peace and balance.
Enjoying this post? You’ll love these ones:
5. Rose Quartz
One of the best crystals for healing anxiety is the Rose Quartz. This beautiful pink translucent stone radiates unconditional love and can truly help to heal the heart. This stone has a real calming energy that helps to relieve you from stress and worry.

Rose quartz is yet another powerhouse of a crystal. Normally known for being the stone of love, rose quartz is often associated with romance – but it’s really powerful for self-love. Regaining confidence within yourself and balancing your emotions.
Doesn’t that sound bloody brilliant when it comes to anxiety? I know you can sign me up!
Common words used to describe rose quartz for anxiety: self-love, confidence, emotional healing, balance, harmony and joy.

While there are other crystals for anxiety out there, I didn’t want to overload you with too many choices! From all the articles I’ve read, these were the top 5 crystals that stood out to me. And I think they’re all worthy of a spot in your collection!
But now for the big question: does my garden work?
Now, I am a big believer in the power of thought and mindset. Here is a quote I constantly use in these articles:

Research by Dr. Carol Dweck clearly shows that believing you can do something makes it more likely that you’ll successfully do it. That means that our beliefs about our ability to learn, grow, and succeed—our growth mindset—can indeed affect whether we effectively manifest what we desire.
Importantly, this research suggests that if we truly believe we can achieve something, we are willing to do the hard work to achieve it.

Whether you believe in the metaphysical properties of crystals or not, I do think there’s a lot of weight in having a physical cue for your goals. A little boost!

Pin me, pin me!
If I’m feeling anxious and I look at my little anti-anxiety garden, it helps me to calm down. Is that just the association that I have created for it? Sure, it totally could be – but the end result is the same, so I’m happy!
I hope you lovely humans enjoyed this post! Make sure you’re keeping up with me on social media – alas, I had to restart my accounts, do drop all your handles below and I’ll make sure we’re all caught up!
