15 Practical & Affordable Gifts For Lovers Of Dark Academia, Cottagecore & Fairycore
Let me tell you, I’m utterly obsessed with these adorable mushroom nightlights! This Etsy store (yes, handmade and a small business – what a win!) sells multiple nightlights in different sizes and finishes. Each one of them encapsulates a dreamy forest vibe that I’m 100% here for.
Disney eat your heart out – this rose glass is the real fairytale!
One of the elements of cottagecore that I really enjoy is slow-living. Relaxing and taking time out of hustle culture to just be. Maybe it’s a weird association in my brain but I can just imagine taking a morning to make peach iced tea and sitting on the balcony drinking it out this mug.
(Can you tell I’m an internet marketer’s wet dream? My bank account 100% can.)
You guys know I am all about practical gifting. If you’re going to spend your hard-earned money on something, you want it to actually be used!
However, nobody said practical had to mean boring! These embroidered socks are cosy enough for the colder months, cute enough for the ‘gram, and fairycore enough to earn a spot on this list!
Does anyone else find that they never have enough storage? It’s an ongoing battle!
This mini rattan mushroom is one of my favorite Etsy finds – and it would look in place at any cottage home, don’t you think?
You know what else would be perfect? Any of these 17 peel-and-stick cottagecore wallpapers! Honestly, some of these are beyond stunning . . .
Another way to embrace slow living is through creativity. Our world is so fast-paced and digitally driven, taking an afternoon off to listen to music and make something pretty can be a great way to reset.
This craft kit contains everything your gift recipient needs to make their own origami garland. Featuring a fall color scheme and leaf-shaped ornamentals, this kit is perfect for the holiday season . . . or pretty much any time of year!
Etsy is home to countless sticker sheets from insanely talented artists – and priced insanely affordably! (As in, only a few dollars affordable.)
If you’re on a budget, stickers can be a great gift . . . or you can pad them out with some markers, maybe a notebook, and some washi tape!
If you’ve been following me since my previous blog, you’ll know all about the ongoing love affair I have with dried flowers. They’re just so beautiful!
This pre-made wall hanging is such a fun addition to any home – I think it would look great in a kitchen, personally.
How beautiful are these earrings? I’ve been debating whether to gift them to one of my friends or finally get my ears pierced and just use them for myself . . .
My dear friends, I am obsessed with embroidered sweaters. (I may or may not have a post coming out that is entirely dedicated to them. Don’t judge me.)
This dainty crewneck features all the woodland stapes: a frog, mushrooms, flowers, berries and leaves! Plus, the sage green fabric colour? What a vibe!
In fact, I loved the previous sweater so much that I had to check out the full Etsy store and include this super cute mushroom sweater too. And to that I say – you’re welcome x x
‘K so a brief heads up – your girl will be DIY-duping this. It’s just going to happen and it will feature air dry clay.
However, if you’re not a crafty girl or you just don’t fancy waiting, you can find these stunning forest-themed gold candle holders over on the Anthropologie website. The dark academia vibes are strong!
(Honestly, Anthropologie seems to have a great range of woodland-themed decor that takes cottagecore and just mixes it with total elegance. I’m naturally a big fan.)
Another practical gift idea for the colder weather is a comfy throw! Blankets are my fave to snuggle up with . . . but we all know that some of them can be pretty ugly.
This forest-themed blanket has a nice minimal color scheme that could fit into most homes – and all the whimsical elements of the cottagecore trend we love.
Literally run don’t walk. I want this so so bad. So bad! I already know that my boyfriend would have none of it – maybe fair enough, maybe dump him and take the apartment? – but I definitely want to DIY-dupe this on my desk legs using clay . . .
Yep, stay tuned because that’s definitely going to happen across the next few months.
(Can we fit another cheeky self-promo here? Why, yes we can! If you’re looking for an affordable DIY side table, check my mammoth list of 50 ideas.)
Holy hell, the vintage vibes of this terrarium are serving. And the stained glass? Uh, is anyone else just utterly in love?
If you really wanted to go the extra mile, you could even create your own little terrarium inside! Here’s a super easy fairy-ring one I DIY’ed myself:
And last but not least is this absolutely stunning owl shelf!
Well, my friends, we shall end at the end! I hope you enjoyed this post and found tons of gifting inspiration. Let me know in the comments down below which items were your favorite!
